Job Description - Medical Alarm Sales Representative

Freedom Medical Alarms is an MSD accredited medical alarm provider and is a jointly owned business between HealthCare NZ and Wellington Free Ambulance. With our joint partners we have a long-standing tradition of supporting our clients to feel safe in their home and community with our products and monitoring services.

The Medical Alarm Representative reports to the Freedom Medical Alarms National Manager and is responsible for providing the highest possible standard of medical alarm service, educating prospective clients about the service and completion of installed alarms, whilst providing excellent client support, accurately completing documentation, and complying with the Code of Conduct and Telecare Services Association New Zealand (TSANZ) service standards.

This role has a retainer and commission-based structure and will include following up referrals, installing medical alarms and maintenance orders for medical alarm clients.

These roles can be based in Dunedin, Bay of Plenty and Northland Regions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Relationship management skills with both internal and external contacts
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritise the workload
  • Ability to cope under pressure when there are high volumes of installations and work orders required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience providing prompt, efficient and personalised customer service
  • Ability to keep up with advancing technology and updated medical alarm equipment
  • Experience in the Health Care Industry and sector legislation is an advantage
  • Clean and current New Zealand Driver's Licence and have own reliable vehicle
