At White Cross Whangārei, no two days are the same. From welcoming patients through our doors to supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our urgent care clinic, you'll play an important role in helping our community access the care they need.

We're looking for a friendly, organised, and adaptable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis  If you enjoy variety, working with people, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As one of the first faces patients see, you'll help create a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and professional approach
• Answering phone calls and assisting with enquiries
• Booking appointments and managing clinic schedules
• Supporting patient flow and helping the clinic run efficiently
• Processing payments, ACC claims, invoices, and enrolments
• Maintaining accurate patient records and administration
• Ensuring patient information is handled confidentially and in line with privacy requirements
• Working closely with our clinical team to provide an excellent patient experience

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and can stay calm under pressure.

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in medical reception, administration, or customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence using computer systems and handling payments
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• The ability to multitask and stay composed in a busy environment
• Availability to work evenings and weekends (essential)
• The legal right to work in New Zealand (essential)
• A current New Zealand Driver Licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
