Reporting to the Team Leader Membership Services - the Member Experience Specialist role is a diverse one. You will provide claims, administrative, and member support to enable the team to achieve the best possible member outcomes. Does this sound like you?
Duties:
- Promptly and accurately process and adjudicate health insurance claims in line with delegated authority
- Respond promptly and effectively to Member enquiries and communication through various channels, taking time to understand their specific needs
- Maintain excellent service standards to ensure Members receive the highest level of assistance
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of UniMed’s products and services and connect Members to the ones they need
- Provide accurate, timely and complete information by using the right methods / tools
- Update, maintain and monitor databases and distribution lists to ensure Members to receive the right information at the right time
- Build effective relationships and liaise with relevant internal and external members, partners and stakeholders to enable a happier, healthier nation.
Skills and experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player
- Decisive and self-starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a demanding environment
- Have the ability and willingness to learn and multi-task
- Previous experience in customer service or operations roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite and an ability to assimilate new applications
- Passion, motivation and a positive attitude
- A “pitch in” attitude with the ability to reprioritise work and help out anywhere in the business if the need arises
- Be a wonderful ambassador of the UniMed brand
