At Te Manawa Family Services we work alongside men, women, rangatahi, tamariki, and whānau to help break cycles of violence and abuse, and support safer, healthier relationships. There’s no shame, no blame – and no excuses. This mahi is about rebuilding relationships. It’s about restoring trust, respect and safety.
We’re looking for a Men’s Programme Facilitator to join our team.
In this role, you’ll co-facilitate group programmes, complete assessments and reviews, and provide individual and whānau support where needed. You’ll bring a holistic approach and understand that real change takes time, trust and consistency. You’ll know how to build rapport, hold boundaries, and support people through some tough but important mahi.
Our preference is for a registered social worker, but we know great people come from different backgrounds. If you hold another relevant human service qualification and bring strong experience working with vulnerable people, we’d still welcome your application. This is specialist mahi, so you’ll need sound judgement, strong boundaries, and the confidence to work well with vulnerable people.
We’re a small but mighty team, and we care deeply about the wellbeing of our people. We’re committed to social work pay equity bands, because this mahi matters and so do the people doing it.
This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm. Once or twice a week you’ll run an after-hours programme from 1pm – 9pm.
Because this is a Core Children’s Worker role, the successful candidate will need to complete the required safety checks, including Police vetting, in line with the Children’s Act 2014.
