Job Description - Mental Health Clinician

Calling all Registered Nurses and Occupational Therapists who are keento join us in one of Aotearoa’s leading NGO. We're lookingfor a Clinician to join our Tauranga Youth service. You will align withour tikanga (principles) and kawa (practice) and support the clinicalcomponents of Whetū Marewa - Primary Mental Health. In this role, you will have experience in mental health and workingalongside taiohi (young people) and their whānau.

We have a permanent opportunity at this service, working Monday- Friday,8.30am- 5.00pm, in Tauranga.

You | Mōu We are interested to hear fromcandidates who have a current health registration (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, RegisteredNurse) and proven experience working with young people. 

The successful candidates will be ableto demonstrate:

  • A current New Zealand fulldriver’s licence.
  • A current first aid certificate orbe willing to obtain one.
  • A HPCAA recognised qualificationand current practicing certificate.
  • An understanding of localcommunity issues and of tikanga Māori.
  • Uphold the integrity and mana ofboth the taiohi and Kaupapa.
  • The ability to work independentlyand innovatively to engage young people/taiohi and whānau.
  • Knowledge of and relationshipswith local NGO and Iwi providers.
