About Us:

DCM (Downtown Community Ministry) is a dedicated and passionate NGO committed to ending homelessness in Wellington. We believe everyone deserves a place to call home and the support to maintain it. Our mission is to empower those experiencing homelessness by providing comprehensive services and compassionate care.

The Role:

As a Mental Health Nurse at DCM, you will play a crucial role in our team, leading best practices and delivering exceptional mental health care. You will work alongside our amazing staff to provide holistic support to whānau, ensuring they receive the care they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality mental health care to whānau at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
  • Lead and inspire our team with best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support services.
  • Advocate for the mental health needs of our clients.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adjust treatments as necessary.
