Role Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced National Pre-Construction Manager to manage & lead the pre-construction phase of our projects on a national scale. You will identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure construction readiness for the delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Development Managers on due diligence, masterplans and Resource Consent conditions.
  • Monitor design phases and identify programme, consenting, buildability and logistics risks.
  • Oversight of site establishment requirements, staging and sequencing of build
  • Oversee civils portfolio and review bulk earthwork & civil consultant and contractor procurement strategies and evaluation panel outcomes.
  • Oversight of civil tendering, quality procedures, review of benchmarking cost analysis and value engineering
  • Integrate new technologies, sustainability initiatives and implement positive changes.
  • Lead and develop direct reports.

What you will need

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant construction management experience.
  • Project Management experience on large scale commercial construction projects
  • Strong technical expertise and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen
