Join a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation operating within the FMCG and foodservice sectors. With ambitious growth targets, we are seeking a proactive, driven and passionate Sales Manager to lead the sales team and drive revenue generation.
As the National Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering strategic relationships within the FMCG and foodservice sectors. Reporting directly to the GM, you will lead a dedicated sales team and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor the sales team, driving performance and up-skilling.
- Drive a performance and customer-oriented culture.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, in the grocery and foodservice segments.
- Conduct thorough customer category reviews, using tools such as PowerBI and Scan data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Execution and implementation of the NPD program into market.
- Actively engage in sales activities with your team, taking a hands-on approach to managing the FMCG head office relationships and foodservice key accounts.
- Drive business development with new and existing customers.
Person Requirements:- Proven experience in FMCG sales, managing Foodstuffs and Woolworths head office category managers, and coupled with experience in the foodservice sector would be highly desirable. 5+ years in the role.
- Ideally expertise in meat and small goods preferred but will consider other categories across food and beverage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to up-skill, inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Commercial acumen and analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience designing strategy and setting goals for growth in line with set objectives.
- Passionate and driven individual with a hunger for success and growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferable to be degree qualified – business related degree.
