About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join the Bay Radiology team, based in Tauranga.
This is a newly created permanent position as we work towards adding Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans to our comprehensive services provided at Bay Radiology.
We are seeking someone who is excited by the challenge and possibilities available in shaping this new role and helping to establish our new PET service. You will be an integral part of making this happen!
About You Ideally the successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Applicants must be a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist, registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold a current practicing certificate.
- Competence in conducting a full range of both routine and complex procedures and quality assurance in PETCT.
- Ability to perform IV cannulation.
- Working knowledge of the practical and legislative requirements of a Nuclear Medicine and PETCT practice.
- Capable of exercising mature and professional judgement in respect of performance, service provision and allocation of duties.
- Able to work positively and collaboratively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including our patients and their family/whanau as well as other health care professionals and providers.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Flexible team player and highly self-motivated.
- An understanding of the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.
