Nurse Educator - Surgical Ward

The role itself

• Develop clinical staff professional practice to ensure the delivery of quality nursing care
• Assess nursing staff competence and ensure adherence to best practice and professional, ethical and legal standards
• Design and deliver clinical educational programmes to facilitate the ongoing professional development and growth
• Work alongside nursing directorate to facilitate and implement projects that promote the improvement of hospital nursing services

Skills and experience

• Excellent clinical knowledge
• Expert PDRP or working toward an expert level
• Permanent full-time role (FTE 1.0 – 0.9)
• 2 years proven work experience as an Educator or similar role 
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, interpersonal and leadership skills 
• Postgraduate paper in health professional education is preferable but not required
