Mō te tūranga | About the role
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic team based in Invercargill. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to be the expert in your field. Work across a variety of ACC services including vocational rehab, concussion, and training for independence throughout the Southland region; alongside custom assessments for some of the large employers in the greater region.
In this role you will work with clients and their whanau, employers and other stakeholders, providing therapy, support and education to clients to enable them to move through their recovery journey and achieve their goals. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team with a collaborative style, with a holistic and bespoke approach, ensuring we provide our clients with the best possible outcomes.
Our team is full of a diverse group of fun, energised and client focused individuals. The goal for the Southland region is to provide excellence across our spectrum of services; through tried practice as well as through innovative change – with the help from an experienced and supportive team.
He aha ta tatou e rapu ana? | What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist, with at least three years’ experience for full-time 30-40 hours per week depending on what suits you and your lifestyle. Our ideal candidate will have worked in or have an interest in providing rehabilitation and assessments for a range of injuries and disabilities; experience with head injuries and concussion is a plus. However, extensive training to the right person will be provided if you haven’t worked in this sphere before. The region is large and at times driving is required, so confidence with driving is important.
Attitude is everything! We're after a friendly, intelligent, and adaptable team player, one who rather than adopting a cookie cutter approach likes being innovative and creative with their clinical skillset alongside and puts their clients and their whanau at the centre of everything they do. Our multi-disciplinary team includes very experienced physiotherapist, psychologists, doctors and vocational consultants, some with up to 40 years' experience within their fields, all of whom are keen to pass on knowledge and help train the upcoming generation of clinicians.
