Qualifications & experience
You will understand the needs of people with disabilities and relate easily to a wide range of people.
Ideally you will also have most of the following:
- Experience in managing a charitable organisation.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- The ability to work independently, with drive and initiative, leading a small team.
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Experience in Fundraising and organising small events.
- Experience using XERO, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Infoodle (client management software) and Canva.
- Ability to organise and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation/educational skills.
- Ability to relate to people in an empathetic, non-judgemental manner.
- Genuine passion for supporting people.
- The successful candidate must have a current driver’s licence and undergo Police Vetting.
- Experience working within the Health or Disability sector.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the office.
- Provide effective administration support.
- Create and maintain data within the organisation (Infoodle)
- Bank reconciliation.
- Prepare fortnightly payroll using ThankYou Payroll software.
- Prepare reports when required.
- Design flyers and posters for advertising.
- Fundraising event planning and implementation
- Social media and website communications
- Writing and coordinating annual street appeal.
- Creation and quarterly newsletters.
- Attend board meetings and take minutes.
- Organise funding applications and accountabilities.
- Establish and build relationships with organisations and support agencies.
- Promote brain injury prevention and awareness through education and training.
