Job Description - Office Manager/Administrator - Urgent Position

Permanent Office Manager/Administrator
  • Permanent opportunity with a NZ Owned company
  • Working as part of a close-knit team delivering administrative support
  • Porirua region
  • Salary $75K to $80K depending on experience
Are you looking for the next step in your business support career?  We have an exciting opportunity to join a New Zealand owned organisation.  Be part of a small team, providing efficient and effective administrative, social media and event coordination support to the Wellington office team. Team fit is important for this position. We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude, is eager to learn and has a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities will include:
  • General office support including being the first point of contact on reception, arranging appointments, writing up appraisals and answering the phone
  • General tidying of the kitchen and liaising with the team to ensure everything is running smoothly.
  • Social media support, keeping up the social media presence
  • Managing emails and responding/actioning as required
  • Basic account support, processing, and matching invoices, and completing monthly stats
Skills and Attributes required:
  • Minimum 2-3 years administration experience in a professional office environment
  • Knowledge of office procedures and technology including the MS Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive person who uses their initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a “can do” attitude
  • Willingness to learn and work in a flexible environment.
