Operating Theatre Nurse

Experienced theatre operating nurse with orthopaedic knowedge and experience required in a hospital location in Timaru. 

Our Client is interested in those looking for either a full time or part time position to provide assistance within the operating theatres.

The Candidate:

• Have Registration and current APC
• Have NZ experience in orthopaedics and operating theatres.
• Demonstrates management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Be able to communicate effectively and work in a team of professionals.
• Can work calmly under pressure and deal with stressful situations professionally
• Maintains an updated professional educational portfolio to meet Nursing Council Competencies.
• Shows respect, sensitivity, cultural awareness towards patients and their whanau.

The Role:

• Monday to Friday 
• Based in Timaru
• Salary up to $50.92 per hour dependent on experience.
• Advocates for and supports the principles of patient and family centred care, and the patient or client’s rights and wellbeing.
• Ensure clinical care is patient centred and meets the highest standards knowing patient safety comes first.
• Effectively communicates with all staff, with particular reference to Clinical Nurse Managers, Director of Nursing and Medical Practitioners and patients and their whanau.
• Collaborate and contribute to nursing assessments, patient care planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
