About the role The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and optimise the overall operations of manufacturing and site in an efficient and cost effective manner. As the Operations Manager, you will be a strong leader, mentor, drive and motivate your team.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for the following:
Ensure the manufacturing schedules and processes are met, considering labour, equipment, facility and material allocations to effectively execute to plans Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, cost and overall performance.
Oversee operations of the manufacturing team
Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and other standards
Delivery training programs to staff related to technical cleaning and GMP compliance
Recruit, train and mentor the operations team
Monitor expenses and track financial performance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement, industry standards and company policies
Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and inventory management.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Skills & experience:
To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, engineering, or related disciplines).
Minimum 5 years of experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing, preferably in viral antigen and vaccine production.
Practical understanding of current concepts in vaccine manufacturing and quality assurance.
Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
