Operations Manager - Hiring Fast

 OPERATIONS MANAGER   
  
Richard Kepka Builders is a leading building contractor in Hawkesy Bay, and we are on the  hunt for an Operations / Project Manager to replace our current Manager who is moving on after 11 years of service.   
  
With over 40 years in the industry, we have developed a strong and consistent relationship with our client base.  We have a diverse and interesting portfolio of ongoing projects and are looking for a dynamic, motivated, personable new member to fill this role.   
  
The successful applicant will have experience in operations management in the construction industry, coupled with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.   
Be detail orientated with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills.  
Have a passion for delivering results and enjoy working to deadlines.    
  
The Key Skills we are looking for are:  
  
• Trade Qualified with LBP  
   Familiarity and demonstratable experience of at least 10 + years within the NZ Construction Environment  
• 10 + years' experience in the high end and light commercial areas of the Construction Industry
• Ability to read and understand complex, detailed plans  
• Strong programming skills  
• Strong financial management with the ability to drive cost accountability 
• Outstanding written and oral communication  
• Plan, coordinate and monitor work to meet budget and programmed deadlines, including assigning resources 
• Day to day operation of all activities on site 
• Maintain positive relationship with clients and sub-contractors 
• Co-ordinate Subcontractors and Client / Engineer site inspections 
• Liaise closely with site managers to coordinate site activity  
• Ability to pass on your industry knowledge to grow our team and advance their skill levels 
• Advance ordering of materials that have long lead times, including liaising with sub-contractors that require advanced knowledge for fabrication
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations 
• Foster a culture of safety and teamwork
