An exciting opportunity has been created for a highly professional Operations Manager to join our Capstone Hotel Management team.
Capstone Hotels & Resorts is 100% New Zealand owned and operated, and was founded in 2014, offering a range of hotel management and marketing services, from full management which embed deep into the inner workings of your business, to light touch consultation projects providing expert advice and guidance.
Capstone Hotels is going through an exciting period of rapid expansion which has created new opportunities for exceptional talent to join our dynamic and passionate team, working with over 18 Hotels and Lodges throughout New Zealand.
The role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and an exciting challenge. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team environment, ability to work well under pressure, well developed organisational and time management skills and a passion and understanding of the industry.
This is a Full Time permanent position based in our Auckland office in the CBD.
The applicant must have previous hotel experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of our hotel properties across the chain. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Managing Director, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service standards, driving revenue growth, and maintaining brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Supervise and monitor day-to-day operations of all hotel properties within the chain to ensure adherence to brand standards, policies, and procedures.
Guest Experience Management: Champion a culture of exceptional guest service and satisfaction by regularly reviewing guest feedback, implementing improvement initiatives, and conducting regular training sessions for hotel staff.
Financial Performance: Collaborate with the Finance Department to develop and manage operational budgets, analyze financial reports, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to hotel General Managers and department heads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Sales and Marketing Support: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to develop and implement strategies to drive occupancy, revenue, and brand awareness.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and operational issues proactively, and develop mitigation plans to minimise disruptions to hotel operations.
