About the Company:
A business entering a new and exciting period of its ongoing journey. From its entrepreneurial beginnings, based around a drive to find a better way to go about waste management, they have since grown into a prominent business offering several different waste management services, right across the South Island. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking for an Operations Manager to join the team.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager and leading a team, you will be responsible for the organisation, supervision, and control of the operational activities of collection vehicles, employees, asset management and associated plant. This is a varied role responsible for delivering on corporate policies, procedures and requirements including Health and Safety, Quality and Compliance, financial reporting requirements and processes, budgeting and forecasting and general branch administration. It also offers an excellent opportunity for you to learn, grow and develop.
About You:
You will have operations and management experience in a complex environment ideally Waste/Transport and have demonstrable experience of leading safety improvements (including culturally) and demonstrated ability in managing employees. Your working knowledge and hands on experience with health and safety management alongside your continuous improvement mindset will set you apart. Experience with financial management, budgeting and reporting and project management will enable you to hit the ground running. A position description is available.
