About the Role
Operational Responsibility: Take charge of the daily operations, ensuring seamless execution and high efficiency.
Staff Engagement: Maintain a high level of staff engagement through motivational strategies and effective communication.
Professional Development: Lead and promote professional development initiatives, fostering continuous learning and growth.
Workload Balance: Oversee workload distribution, including review and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) endorsements.
Profitability Improvement: Enhance profitability by assessing and monitoring utilisation rates and project budgets with the support of the engineering administrator.
Systems Improvement: Identify areas for system improvements and manage their development and implementation.
Workload Forecasting: Accurately forecast workloads and hiring needs within the engineering team.
Team Structure Development: Develop the team structure and manage staff movements across various engineering teams.
Performance Management: Lead performance improvement and management initiatives for engineering staff.
Work Allocation Support: Support the Engineering Administrator in allocating work across the team effectively.
Mentoring and Coaching: Provide mentoring and coaching to team leaders, enhancing their ability to manage and lead effectively.
Issue Resolution: Assist team leaders in escalating and resolving issues efficiently.
