About the role:
You get overall operation experience; you thrive on a challenge and you know how to improve the operation through continuous improvement. You are comfortable with people, processes, reporting results and the day to day operational responsibilities of managing the day to day logistics operation in relation to “hands on “operation and people supervision within the SME operation of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate the activities of the operations team, including warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative personnel.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, providing training to staff on safety protocols, and ensuring that all operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory turnover.
- Maintain open and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including staff, management, suppliers, and customers.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product availability.
What We Offer: - Full time Position, 45 hours per week, starting Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, based in Christchurch.

What You Bring: - Able to supervise the dockway function.
- Fit for work - lifting, pushing, pulling, movement of freight by hand, trolley and forklift is required.
- Good at using the computer, including Microsoft Office systems.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills for advancement.
- A great forklift operator with a current forklift licence and operating certificate, ideally
