Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
This role sits within the Maintenance Services Team, which executes the scheduled maintenance plan, responds to faults and emergencies, and undertakes maintenance projects and major projects when required. There will be some reactive maintenance and monitoring outside of normal working hours on a rostered basis once trained.
Our Operators are critical to the safe isolation and restoration of plant in our hydro asset chain. These isolations enable the safe and secure execution of our maintenance plan and project work. As well as operating, you’ll play an important part in the maintenance capability of the team, so you’ll undertake inspections, complete maintenance tasks and work alongside the other maintenance teams.
This is an on-site role, covering our three Mid Waitaki hydro dams, located near Otematata. The role has regular working hours, Monday to Friday. With plenty of notice, there may be instances where you’re required to work outside of normal working hours. Safety and technical training will be provided to ensure you have all the tools necessary to succeed, including full station operator competency training.
