Te Tūranga | About the role
Keen to repair, build and maintain structures across our city’s parks and reserves?
We are looking for a practical and experienced person to join our very busy team. This is a hands-on and physically demanding role.
Structures work is varied and can include: installing signage and bollards, building a large variety of fences, maintaining and refreshing sand ladders/seating/picnic tables, boxing and placing concrete, maintenance of playgrounds, cleaning, maintaining and carrying out minor repairs to water features, installing and undertaking minor maintenance of rubbish bins, removal of graffiti, painting and cushion-fill renewal among many other tasks.
Often this is a reactive role, so we need someone who can adapt to changing priorities, reprioritise work on the go, and respond effectively as plans change, while understanding the importance of keeping the community (our customers) happy.
