Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role 
We are looking for a customer-focused OSPRI Support Representative to join our Support Centre team in Wellington. Reporting to the Team Leader, OSPRI Support, you will be a key point of contact for farmers, landowners, veterinarians and other stakeholders, providing advice, information and support across OSPRI’s disease management and traceability programmes.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responding to enquiries, providing guidance, resolving issues and completing important administrative and compliance processes. You work will contribute directly to the successful delivery of OSPRI’s programmes and provide a positive experience for our stakeholders.

This role reflects , supporting and assisting a wide range of stakeholders, and Ka Tūtuki ā Mātou Mahi | We Deliver, ensuring accurate, timely and professional service every day.

What success will look like:



  • Processing and resolving farmer and stakeholder enquiries through phone, email and administrative support activities

  • Providing accurate advice and information relating to the National Pest Management Plan (NPMP) and National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) Scheme

  • Delivering positive, professional and customer-focused service outcomes

  • Coordinating accreditation applications and supporting accredited entities to meet their obligations

  • Managing and escalating IT-related issues as required

  • Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders

  • Contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment

  • Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and OSPRI’s values

You enjoy helping people and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You're a strong communicator who can confidently explain information, solve problems and remain calm under pressure. You are naturally organised, have great attention to detail and enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same. You'll be comfortable balancing customer enquiries with administrative tasks and will have a genuine interest in supporting New Zealand's agricultural sector.

You naturally align with Kotahitanga | Stronger Together, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, and Ārahina e te Aronga | Purpose Led, understanding how your contribution supports OSPRI's wider mission.

You will bring:



  • Experience in a contact centre, customer service or support environment

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Sound administrative and data entry skills

  • Experience working with databases or customer management systems

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

  • An interest in New Zealand's agricultural sector and farming communities

  • The ability to follow processes and procedures while exercising sound judgement when required
