The role

Reporting to the Logistics Engineer / Load Planner, this role is responsible for packing and loading all Capital Equipment and associated spares and warranties. This is a high performing, semi-autonomous role where you will be preparing and delivering what will be our customers' first impression of Wyma’s quality and brand.

Day to day, you will:

• Assemble transport frames and build pellets and crates to plans.


• Complete online documentation of all parts and assemblies to be shipped.


• Read and interpret load plans and assemble the loads into frames/crates and onto pallets.


• Secure products inside containers using straps, tie-downs or other methods to ensure no movement or damage during shipment.


• Operate forklifts and overhead gantry cranes to move parts and product.


• Maintain loading consumable stock levels (tiedowns, shackles, timber etc.)


• Follow all health and safety policies.
  

To be successful in the role you will: 

• Be able to mentally conceptualize / visualize in 3D (i.e., imagine where things could go).


• Have knowledge of mechanical assembly and basic carpentry.


• Understand engineering drawings & CAD viewer use – or the ability to learn.


• Have experience tying down heavy and technical equipment into containers or onto trucks.


• Have a forklift license and gantry crane experience.


• Be a team focused player who can communicate well.


• Be a self-starter, be able to think on the spot and make good decisions even when under time-pressure.


• Be able and willing to identify and work on opportunities for continuous improvement in this area.


• Have attention to detail and pride in own work and Wyma’s brand.


• Have shift flexibility and travel (either domestically or internationally) may be required.
