Do you want to work with an experienced team of palliative care nurses whose goal each day is to help patients live every moment?

At Hospice West Auckland we provide community-based specialist palliative care. Our model of care is nurse-led, you will have the opportunity to work with the diverse people of our community, enabling you to build relationships and to contribute compassionately to their wellbeing, and to support their whanau and carers.

We are looking for a nurse to work 0.8-1.0 FTE who is passionate about providing excellent holistic palliative care in the community within a growing and supportive multidisciplinary team. Along with a great team of colleagues from many disciplines, you will work in collaboration with primary and secondary health and community providers.

We are looking for a nurse who can work autonomously and be proactive and flexible. This role can be undertaken in-person in West Auckland or alternatively as a telehealth role, working remotely within New Zealand. To meet our telehealth requirements, you would need to be an experienced Palliative Clinical Nurse Specialist.

If in-person, you will need clean full NZ drivers' licence to drive a Hospice car for your work. Our nurses are well equipped to provide care in the community, from nursing bag to laptop and phone. You can expect to work 8 hours a day, between 8am and 6.30 pm.

As a nurse at Hospice West Auckland, you will be closely supported by clinicians to guide your development in the specialty of palliative care.
