Job Description - Partnership Co-Ordinator

About the Role 

We are currently seeking new kaimahi to join the team as Whānau Ora Engagement Coordinators. In this fulltime mahi, you will maintain meaningful relationships with a range of Whānau Ora providers across the North Island, delivering tailored advice to ensure the successful implementation of WOCA programmes.

While the head office is located in Tamaki Makaurau, you will be based regionally in the Tai Tokerau, working from home and where possible stationed in Whānau Ora provider offices. You will become the pillar of a well-connected, hardworking team, operating both virtually and within our provider offices. A confident communicator, you will engage with practitioners at levels, in a manner that enhances mana and embodies a Whānau Ora approach.

The Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency is one the largest NGO's in New Zealand, having served the North Island since 2014. As drivers of innovation in the Whānau Ora space, we fight to create policy change and commission kaupapa that supports whānau to achieve their true goals and aspirations. 

Your Skills & Experience.

To be successful in this role, candidates will showcase the following competencies:

  • Strong commitment to Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori.
  • Tertiary degree or an equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience working with Māori in a communications, PR, or health role.
  • Confident communicator in both English and Te Reo Māori (preferred).
  • Understanding of Tikanga Māori applications in a Māori organisation.
  • Understanding of Whānau Ora philosophy and current social trends.
  • Excellent writing, reporting, organizing, and planning skills.
