Job Description - Partnership Manager

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Partnership Manager to join our collaborative and dynamic Partner Services and Support team, based at our Support office in Penrose.

As Partnership Manager, you will play a pivotal role in outworking CAP’s partnership strategy. You will ensure CAP’s services can be delivered sustainably and effectively across Aotearoa in partnership with locally-based partners, including churches, community organisations and social service providers.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Identify, develop, and onboard new service delivery partners, contributing to the identification and pipeline of potential service delivery partners
  • Contribute to the strengthening of partnerships with existing service delivery partners
  • Lead best practice in sales, account management and relationship management to ensure CAP is achieving its desired impact through cultivating effective partnerships

About you

To thrive in this position you will need:

  • A strong personal alignment with the foundational Christian philosophy, organisational identity, culture, and values of CAP
  • Knowledge and experience of sales and account management practices, including awareness of nuances working across cultures
  • Knowledge and experience of the social service and church landscapes in Aotearoa
  • Excellent influencing, relationship-building and people skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues with others
  • Comfort and experience communicating to groups and inspiring action
  • Ability to adapt to a situation or relationship so that the approach is appropriate to the audience, while remaining ‘true’ to key components or non-negotiables

About CAP

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a not-for-profit organisation, with a vision of ending money chaos in Aotearoa. 

CAP partners with 150 local churches from Kaitaia to Dunedin — providing free practical help and spiritual hope to hundreds of New Zealanders every week. 

Established in Aotearoa in 2007, CAP has walked alongside thousands of whānau in debt and poverty, helping them to go from surviving to thriving.
