Are you passionate about customer service and have a strong knowledge of automotive parts? We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Parts Advisor. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers by assisting them in finding the right parts for their vehicles. We are looking for a Parts Advisor for our Keith Andrews Whangarei Dealership.

We service Fuso, but Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner, leading the world in vehicle advanced safety options and technology. Our state-of-the-art service department is staffed by a team of skilled professionals dedicated to keeping our customers' trucks running smoothly. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a Parts Advisor to join our dynamic and customer-focused team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and friendly customer service, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Identify and locate the correct parts for customers using catalogues and computer systems.
  • Place accurate orders with suppliers and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain inventory records, perform stock checks, and restock parts as needed.
  • Assist customers with sales, pricing, and transactions, promoting additional parts and accessories.
  • Offer basic technical support, addressing customer questions about parts installation and compatibility.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communication and efficient processes.
  • Keep accurate documentation of customer interactions, orders, and invoices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and comply with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in parts-related roles, preferably in the automotive industry; additional technical or automotive-related education is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
  • Familiarity with parts catalogues, computerized inventory systems, and standard office software.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
