Pathways Coordinator

Mangakōtukutuku College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated full time Pathways Coordinator to join our team.  As a Pathways Coordinator, you will play a vital role in empowering students to make informed decisions about their futures and achieve their aspirations.

Responsibilities include:  

• Promoting the vision, values, and strategic plan of our school 
• Support the implementation and smooth running of all Pathways opportunities, including but not limited to: Gateway, STAR, Waikato Trades Academy 
• Career counselling: practice growth coaching conversations with students and record this information in a usable manner. 
• Provide administration support across the establishing Pathways department as required. 
• Liaise with outside providers, ITO’s, tertiaries, visiting speakers to organise workshops, etc. 
• Genuinely engage in Professional Learning 
• Be committed to Te Tiriti principles and Te Reo Māori revitalisation.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Qualifications, skills, and experience relevant to career counselling and education.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
• Current full clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Self-motivation, flexibility, and excellent time management skills.
• An understanding of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
