Payroll and Accounts Officer (3 months Fixed Term) - Unlimited Growth Potential

Are you an experienced payroll and accounts officer looking for a rewarding role in a supportive environment? Absolute Traffic is seeking a dedicated professional to join our small, friendly team in Wiri. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 3 months covering parental leave, with the possibility of extension. The role requires you to work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and ideally, we are looking for someone to start mid-June. 

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will report to our Accountant and take on a variety of accounting and administrative responsibilities. Your duties will include:

• Invoicing to our customers 
• Managing Payroll
• Handling Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and reports
• Performing various ad hoc duties to support finance functions.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Recent experience in accounts payable/receivable roles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good knowledge of NZ payroll legislation. 
• Proficiency in using Xero.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
