Experienced Payroll Practitioner

Allied Press is a locally owned large and independent media company, operating across multiple media platforms (print, on-line and digital) delivering news, information and entertainment through our various regional and city publications, including our flagship newspaper the Otago Daily Times.

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll practitioner to join our team on a permanent basis in our Dunedin head office to assist us as we continue to evolve payroll practices across our group of companies.   

The work is interesting and sometimes complex as we work to streamline existing processes for maximum efficiently and to this end, we have a number of internal projects we are progressing. We work collaboratively and aim to provide a high quality, responsive service to our clients at all times. 

You will need experience preparing and processing larger payrolls as we currently manage payroll services for up to 1600 people per month.  A solid understanding of current payroll legislation is essential.    

As we currently operate using Datapay, experience with this system would be an advantage.  Familiarity with Collective Employment Agreements would also be valuable.
