About the Role

As a People and Capability Manager, you will hold a key position in defining and executing our company's People Team strategies and initiatives. Your focus will be on fostering a positive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, you will be instrumental in developing and retaining top talent, ensuring that our team members are supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

This is a newly created role and will be based in our Dunedin head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture that promotes collaboration, respect, and inclusivity
  • Develop and implement People Team strategies for employee development, including training programs, mentorship opportunities, and career advancement pathways
  • Oversee performance management processes to ensure alignment with company goals and values
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and team leaders on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and team dynamics
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify talent development needs and succession planning opportunities
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent development and people management

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related field
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of driving organisational change and development
  • Strong understanding of best practices in fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the company
