PHP Backend Developer

Role: PHP Backend Developer

Summary: PHP-focused backend role on a high-traffic platform with an active pipeline of work. Immediate focus is maintaining and improving the existing codebase—bug fixes, performance, and reliability—while steadily delivering against a backlog of planned enhancements and features. New project work will increase over time.

What they’ll do: Develop and maintain PHP applications, optimise MySQL queries, and debug production issues. Work within our stack (Nginx, Linux, AWS) to improve performance and stability, support deployments, and contribute to monitoring and documentation. Pick up and deliver tasks from an existing pipeline, and progressively contribute to new features and projects.

Requirements: 3+ years PHP experience, strong SQL, good understanding of web systems, and comfortable working on live environments. Some Linux and AWS exposure preferred.
