Pizza Chef

Public Kitchen and Bar, Finz Seafood and Grill, and Bella Cucina are three magnificent restaurants in Queenstown, collectively known as Wai Hospitality Group.

Bella Cucina is looking for a full-time Pizza Chef who has experience with a woodfired oven. Everything is made from scratch with love. The ideal candidate will be a true team player, a chef who likes to be busy in a fast-paced environment, who genuinely cares and wants to join an amazing team to deliver memorable experiences for the guests.

Pizza Chef tasks and responsibilities                                                

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as per the restaurant's standards.                                                    


• Monitoring portion and waste control, and correct storage of goods to help maintain profit margins. 


• Organisation and control of the pizza section.               


• Communication with other kitchen staff and the restaurant team.                                       
  


• Contributing to daily menu planning and costing 


• Using cost control programs              


• Prep lists, deliveries, cleanliness. 


• Compliance with FCP and Health and Safety 

• Minimum of 3-years experience in kitchens or formal qualification with 1 year kitchen experience.
  


• $29.66 per hour


• Rostered day and evening shifts Monday to Sunday

Applicants should be able to commit to a minimum of 12 months and be a New Zealand citizen/resident or hold a valid work visa. We are however, an Accredited Employer and can offer Visa support if required.
