About the role

We are seeking an accomplished leader to become our new Planning Manager in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. This is your chance to shape the growth of our planning services in the region while enjoying the backing of an established nationwide consultancy.

Based in Hamilton or Tauranga, you will lead our planning business as we expand TPG’s planning services across the region. You will provide technical leadership across a diverse range of projects, as well as leading our team of planners in Hamilton and Tauranga. You will play a key role in business development, drawing on your professional network to grow our profile and market presence. As a senior leader in our national planning team, you will also collaborate with our other Planning Managers to share expertise and drive the national planning business.

What you bring

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience, or the potential to develop in these areas:

• Significant regulatory RMA planning experience, ideally gained in local government or a private consultancy


• Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow a team


• Deep local knowledge and strong client connections in the region


• Ability to combine your technical planning expertise with a keen eye for business development


• Strong relationship management skills with a proven track record of forging strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
