About the Role

We're looking for a Plant Operator to join the team at our Napier Works site where we manufacture, process and despatch fertiliser. As a key member of our despatch team you'll provide our customers with exceptional service and ensure the safe, effective operation of industrial plant and machinery within the despatch division. By keeping machinery running at optimum levels - and safely - we're best placed to help our farmers/shareholders, and you're best placed for a rewarding job with great scope for growth.

Key Duties

• Operating equipment
• Use computer-based systems
• Forklift driving
• Housekeeping (equipment and work area)
• Lifting and carrying
• Reading and completing despatching process paperwork
• Follow company risk management and environmental policies

About You

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it's essential you're physically fit, and mechanically minded. You are someone who is equally happy to work on a challenging task, yet, have the self-motivation to carry on with the mundane chores that just have to be done (think sweeping, stacking, other housekeeping).

To be successful in the role you will possess:

• Full driver's license
• Rural background or have an affinity with the farming community advantageous but not essential
• Ability to follow instructions and work with little or no supervision
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Health & Safety awareness
• Have a reasonable level of computer literacy
• Flexible with night and day shift hours and weekend work
• Preferred but not essential F endorsement, class 2 and W,T,R licence
