The Role

We are seeking a skilled Aggregate Wash Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our aggregate wash plant, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

This is a physically demanding role and would require the incumbent to undertake strenuous physical tasks in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the aggregate wash plant equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

Monitor the production process, including the feeding, washing, screening, and stacking of materials, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.

Adjust equipment settings as necessary to optimize performance and product quality. Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or concerns to the plant supervisor.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.

Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Assist with other tasks as needed, including general labor and equipment maintenance projects.

The technical stuff you'll need includes

Previous experience operating and maintaining aggregate wash plant equipment preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of basic welding, electrical, and hydraulic systems is a plus.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
