Our client is an established division of a highly successful organisation who hold significant contracts to manufacture and supply food packaging products to Iconic NZ businesses as well as exporting overseas.

Popular afternoon shift – Mon to Friday (40hours) 4.00pm – 12.00 pm

Note: This role is only open to Plastic Die Setters/ Technicians with a minimum of  3 years of Plastic Thermoforming experience. Experience with illeg equipment is preferred.

To slot into this team, you will be an excellent communicator who has a good eye for detail and is focused on delivering a quality product to the customer.

You will also be responsible for assisting with process improvement projects in the department as part of their continuous improvement plan.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Scheduling the changing of tools & knives on a range of illeg machines. 
  • Programming of equipment, adjusting machine parameters and identifying areas to improve production efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting production/machine faults 
  • Quality Inspection of products to conform with specifications.
  • Investigation of non-conformances and taking corrective actions to resolve issues promptly and minimize production downtime.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance of machines and moulds, including cleaning& lubrication.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain records of machine settings, adjustments, and production data.
  • Health & Safety – Staff well-being.

Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained tertiary qualifications in either plastic or mechanical engineering.
