About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Podiatrist to join our growing team, providing high-quality podiatry services across our network of community-based clinics.

This is a permanent opportunity with flexible hours available, depending on the successful candidate. The role will involve travelling between satellite clinic locations, primarily across South Auckland, as we continue to expand and develop our podiatry services.

As part of our Podiatry team, you will support patients with a wide range of foot health needs, helping to improve mobility, prevent complications, and promote long-term wellbeing. You will work closely with patients living with diabetes and other high-risk conditions, delivering preventative care and education that helps people stay healthy and active.

Working alongside General Practitioners, Nurses, Health Improvement Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a collaborative model of care focused on improving health outcomes and supporting patients to live healthier lives.

What You Will Do

As a valued member of the team, you will:

• Deliver high-quality podiatry assessments, treatments, and management plans.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of foot and lower limb conditions.
• Complete diabetic foot assessments and support high-risk foot care programmes.
• Provide patient education on preventative foot care, footwear, and self-management strategies.
• Support patients to improve their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with General Practitioners, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals to deliver coordinated and holistic care.
• Support the development and clinical oversight of Foot Care Assistants where required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ACC claims, and reporting requirements.
• Promote equitable healthcare outcomes through culturally safe and patient-centred practice.
• Uphold professional, clinical, health and safety, and privacy standards.

What You Will Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current registration with the Podiatrists Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• ACC provider registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A commitment to delivering patient-centred and culturally safe care.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence and willingness to travel between clinic locations as required.
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

The following would be advantageous:

Experience within primary care, community health, or multidisciplinary healthcare environments.

Knowledge of diabetes management and high-risk foot care.

Experience using MedTech Evolution or similar patient management systems.
