The role:
This is a technically diverse role where you'll work across the core systems that keep our network running - from protection and automation equipment to SCADA and communications infrastructure.
On the day-to-day, you'll be hands-on with testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault response activities, supporting both planned and reactive work across our substations and wider field assets. You'll play a key role in ensuring our network equipment performs reliably and safely, using high-spec diagnostic tools including Omicron, Doble, and Fluke.
You'll contribute your expertise to project delivery by supporting upgrades and new installations, and providing technical input into asset standards, procedures and system improvements. The role also involves participating in after-hours fault response as needed and collaborating with teams across the business to share knowledge and deliver high-quality outcomes.
