Prepared Produce Assistants (Night shift)

Our Christchurch team is looking for Prepared Produce Assistants (Night shift) to join the team based at Cumnor terrace, Woolston. You will be working with a motivated and committed team who pride themselves on the quality produce and service we offer.

This is a full time permanent position.You will be working 5 days per week on a rotational roster basis.The days of work are Sunday to Friday (6 days a week), 8 hour shift per day excluding meal breaks. This is a night shift role and the hours are worked between 7.30 pm to 3.30/4.00 am.

The job:

• Cleaning, washing and processing vegetables
• Grading, Cutting, Dicing and Peeling vegetables
• Weighing, measuring and mixing veggies
• Operating machines to peel, core, slice, dice fruit and vegetables
• Vacuum packaging
• Labelling packed, prepared produce
• Frequent use of processing machine

• Enjoy handling and preparing fresh fruits and veggies
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Willingness to work on your feet and flexibility
• Physically fit and the ability to lift up to 25 kgs
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Have a strong eye for presentation and a “can do” attitude
• Intermediate reading, writing and arithmetic skills
• Good health, fitness, time management and communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in food industry is beneficial.
