Job Description - Principal Consultant

Role Overview:


As Principal Consultant you'll take charge of a portfolio of Business Customers across Connectivity, Communication, Cloud and Cybersecurity solution suites.



  • Drive lead generation and new business development.

  • Manage and continue to grow the portfolio of clients.

  • Increase Voyagers' revenue share by developing strategies that achieve client objectives.

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.

  • Achieve targets and KPIs while mastering the art of sales excellence.

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales information in MS Dynamics CRM.


This position is based in Auckland, and you will be required to work from the office part of the week, and you can work from home for the rest of the week. Travel throughout the country will be required from time to time, with a focus on the North Island.




What you'll bring:


You're a natural-born salesperson with a proven track record in B2B account management and new business acquisition. You will have a network in Auckland, and your ability to build relationships and uncover opportunities will set you apart. You thrive on delivering results for clients and smashing sales targets.



  • 5+ years of experience in account sales management and new business development.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, time management, and strategic planning.

  • A knack for identifying and converting opportunities.

  • A passion for Telco and achieving success in a dynamic industry.

  • Experience in selling Cloud/Hosting solutions is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach.

  • Have the expertise to understand and clearly articulate value-based business conversations

  • A proven ability to foster long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders


What You’ll Do:



  • Build and nurture relationships with customers to drive retention and loyalty

  • Help customers get the most out of their Voyager solutions

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to maximize business growth

  • Provide expert product support and training to enhance the customer experience

  • Analyze customer data to drive improvements and optimize engagement

  • Manage leads, guide prospects, and convert opportunities

  • Represent Voyager at industry events and trade shows

What We’re Looking For:



  • A people person with outstanding communication and collaboration skills

  • A continuous learner and enjoy the ever-evolving nature of the ICT industry

  • Outstanding communication skills with a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Proven experience in customer success, account management, sales, or technical support

  • A background in Telco or Hosting would be highly beneficial

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and retain customers

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering solutions

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret customer data and identify growth opportunities

  • Experience with CRM systems, sales pipelines, and customer engagement strategies

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and work independently

  • A passion for technology and a drive to help businesses succeed through tailored solutions
