Printing Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Printing Assistant to join our production team on a 4-on, 4-off roster working 6:00am – 6:00pm shifts with paid breaks.

This is a hands-on role supporting the operation of printing machinery and ensuring production runs efficiently and safely. Previous printing experience is preferred, particularly within flexographic printing, however applicants with transferable manufacturing or production experience are encouraged to apply.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the setup and operation of printing equipment
  


• Supporting production staff to maintain workflow and output targets
  


• Manual handling and movement of materials throughout the production area
  


• Carrying materials and supplies up platform ladders when required
  


• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  


• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous printing experience preferred, ideally flexographic printing
  


• Manufacturing, machine operation, or other transferable production experience (e.g. reel-feed, packaging, off-set printing, digital printing, etc.)
  


• Physically fit and capable of manual lifting and repetitive tasks (20kg)
  


• Comfortable working at heights/platform access areas
  


• Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  


• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  


• Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
  


• Good communication and literacy skills
  


• Pass drug test and criminal record check
  


• Be reliable and own transportation (no public transportation access)
  


• Right to work in New Zealand, visa holders may be considered on a case-by-case basis
