Produce Clerk PT

The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a Produce Clerk to join our crew. If you enjoy working in a supportive team to create stunning displays of organic produce and provide excellent customer service, apply now! This position is for 16-24 hours/ week and requires availability on evenings and weekends, with the possibility for more hours in the future. The ideal candidate would have an interest in gardening or vegetable farming and could safely lift 50lbs.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stocking and excellent rotation of produce section
• Keeping accurate signage in the produce department and coolers
• Cleaning, organizing and maintenance of all produce equipment
• Assisting efficiently the needs from other departments, staff and customers
• Develop and maintain efficiency + accuracy in all point-of-sale procedures
• Assistance with managing spill/spoil, processing donations and discounting product
• Compliance with all Co-op policies and procedures
