To support this, we’re looking for a Product Owner to join our Product Viability & Growth Value Stream. You’ll help progress inflight initiatives, assess feasibility of new ideas, and shape what’s needed from both a design and delivery perspective. Working closely with your squad, you’ll bring clarity and direction to ensure we’re focusing on the right things at the right time. 

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga 

As a Product Owner, you’ll turn early concepts and product goals into clear, actionable work for agile teams. You’ll support initiatives already underway, helping determine feasibility, refining requirements, and making sure the squad understands the purpose and expected outcomes of their work. 

You’ll manage and continuously refine the backlog, ensuring priorities align with customer needs, business value, and technical considerations. Working side-by-side with delivery leads, analysts, designers, and engineers, you’ll help shape intuitive experiences, remove ambiguity, and guide the team toward delivering meaningful results. 

Using feedback, insights, and data, you’ll validate whether work is heading in the right direction and recommend adjustments where needed. This role suits someone who is comfortable bringing structure to complex, fastmoving environments and enjoys helping teams move from concept to delivery with confidence. 

You'll be working across the product portfolio, ensuring that the AA's products and services are delivering outstanding customer experiences, leveraging the best AA has to offer, and remaining sustainable across the years to come. 

About You | Mōu 

You’ll thrive in a scaled agile environment and know how to turn evolving ideas into clear, actionable stories. You’re confident managing a backlog, facilitating prioritisation discussions, and working collaboratively across teams to keep work moving in the right direction. 

You bring strong stakeholder engagement skills and can navigate varying viewpoints to find balanced, value aligned solutions. You’ll have experience delivering digital or technology enabled solutions, participating in agile ceremonies, and contributing to cross functional planning. A background in product management, business analysis, or experience guiding cross team initiatives is ideal, along with agile certification such as ICAgile or SAFe. 

You’ll be naturally curious, comfortable in complexity, and motivated by helping shape products and experiences that support growth for both Members and the organisation.
