The Position

GS1 NZ has multiple software-as-a-service platforms, which enable effective and efficient product data and content synchronisation throughout the supply chain. We have an opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded Product Owner  to join our team. Our team is growing and this presents an exciting opportunity to join a progressive organisation.

Like many organisations that have grown quickly, we have a plethora of legacy and modern systems that we are committed to and resourcing to be modernised and integrated. Some are cloud-hosted; some on virtual machines. We are currently modernising our systems on the Azure cloud platform - any prior experience is welcome.

As the Product Owner - Identification for GS1 New Zealand you will work with the Product Manager, the wider Product Management team and Product Development team to deliver our customer journey with a focus on our Identification related products as your principal responsibilities.

You will arrive at GS1 NZ at a time of significant investment in the digital function and be an enthusiastic contributor to a growth phase.

Qualifications and experience

• Define and communicate the roadmap and goals for your product(s) inline with GS1’s Digital Product Vision
• Prioritise and maintain the product backlog based on business goals, stakeholder feedback and market trends
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Make decisions on the priority of product improvements and maintenance
• Foster transparency and collaboration within the business and with stakeholders
• Continuously refine the product backlog ensuring it remains relevant, up to date and well groomed
• Monitor and analyse key metrics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Deliver major projects in line with the GS1 Product vision and Roadmap.
