The Role  
 
Your Scope of Work 

As the Product Owner and IT Manager, you will be pivotal in defining our organisation's strategic direction by advancing our digital platform and user experience. You will formulate and execute the digital product roadmap, driving our organisation's technical excellence and efficiency through innovative technology and digital transformation. 

• Spearhead the formulation and execution of the digital product roadmap, aligning with market demands, and forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimise investment.
• Monitor digital delivery against the strategic plan, ensuring progress, and addressing issues promptly while maintaining momentum through strategic financial decisions, revenue generation, and cost reductions.
• Engage with diverse communities and stakeholders, embedding their perspectives into strategic planning, and responsively addressing the needs of our primary funder, the Ministry of Social Development.
• Oversee the digital reporting environment, including AWS serverless and RDS, and manage system integrations, cloud infrastructure, security, and serverless architecture. 
• Lead teams in shaping future digital policy and service delivery needs, engage others in the digital vision, inspiring change through clear communication and strategic planning, while also building and maintaining relationships with digital partners, vendors, and stakeholders. 
• Enhance service delivery through user feedback and insights, ensure effective governance processes, and maintain confidence with the Board. 
• Oversee a versatile team, fostering a cohesive culture, driving performance and innovation, facilitating collaboration across departments for an integrated approach to digital operations, and implementing fit-for-purpose digital people practices while aligning resources with priorities. 

About you  

Ideally, you possess a tertiary qualification related to management or information systems with 5+ years of senior experience in product ownership/management within complex organisations. You have a proven track record in end-to-end product lifecycle management for enterprise systems. Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing project delivery for IT infrastructure or software development, alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are essential.
