Product Specialist - Diabetes

My client is on a mission to revolutionise diabetes management in New Zealand. By transforming diabetes care, they aim to expand access, integrate care, and improve outcomes, enabling people with diabetes to enjoy greater freedom and better health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Educate new patients and families on how to best use the diabetes pump and emphasise the importance of intensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring.

• Master the features, benefits, and value of the diabetes pump, presenting these to patients using effective situational sales techniques.
• Stay informed about the current industry landscape, including reimbursement, competitors, and competitive products.
• Build and maintain consultative relationships with your territory partner, patients, and clinicians and additional KOL's.
• Leverage all available resources to follow up with patients and ensure all their questions are thoroughly answered.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, conference calls, training programs, conventions, and displays as needed.
• Achieve sales targets and manage the allocated product portfolio.
• Manage the Pump database, including CGM prospecting and warranty renewals.
• Train and support the Diabetes teams across the South Island.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Science, Marketing, or Management.
• 5+ years' experience in the healthcare sector.
• Strong sales and commercial experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Prior experience and knowledge of diabetes, including unmet needs of diabetes therapies and the benefits of insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring.
• Confidence in conveying complex information in a way that makes sense to patients and their families
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities
