Production Assistant - Exciting Challenge

We’re looking for a Production Assistant to join our raw materials team in Mt Wellington / Otahuhu, as one of our current team members is transitioning to a new role within our team.

For this Production Assistant role, you will be working in a well-equipped meat factory and given ongoing training.

Starting pay is $27 per hour.

• Casual work Monday – Friday, no weekend work
• Morning and afternoon work (flexible candidates will be preferred)
• No experience required, on job training provided
• Full PPE provided
• Start ASAP

About the work:

• Handling animal materials
• General cleaning of the production rooms and support areas
• Assisting with the storage, loading, and shipment
• Repetitive lifting up to 25kg
• Wrapping pallets

Shifts:

To be suitable, you must be available to work ALL of the following shifts:

• 8am – afternoon
• 12pm – evening

Requirements:

• Comfortable with working in a meat factory and handling animal by-products
• Eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen, resident, or a valid work visa)
• Own reliable transport & full or restricted driver licence
• Flexible to work varied hours (morning or afternoon shift, Monday - Friday)
• Physically fit for repetitive heavy lifting
• Clean criminal record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Employment reference
