A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Manager to join and lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations within our Glenfield, Auckland NZ Bakery.

As the leader of our Production Team and reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving and exceeding the production goals while contributing significantly to our profitability and customer satisfaction objectives.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Ensure the achievement of production objectives and schedules while ensuring ARYZTA high product quality standards.
• Provide leadership to the production teams - from recruitment & selection to onboarding, engaging, directing, motivating, and developing team members.
• Initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
• Coordination of the services provided by QA, Sanitation, Engineering and Product Development.
• Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production volume.
• Ensures adherence to all Company and local Policies and Procedures and SOPs including Food Safety and Product Quality
• Coordinate, update and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinates and implements the Environmental, Health and Safety programs and initiatives within the production plant. Champions a culture of safety and operational excellence.
• Drive, enforce and ensure compliance to ARYZTA Operational Policies & Procedures.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years of management experience ideally in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Previous people leadership experience, managing a team of 25+.
• Previous food/bakery or management qualifications will be advantageous.
• High level of interpersonal skills with ability to engage and drive a positive culture of high performance.
• IT skills – MS Office Package at intermediate level.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Root cause analysis experience, product quality troubleshooting and accounting variance analysis an advantage.
• Self-starter with ability to work cross-functionally and take sound decisions.
• The successful candidate must have the unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
